Corporate Litigation Associate

Problem

Our client, a Corporate Litigation Boutique, came to JSL Legal Search Group in need of an Associate who met a few specific credentials: the Associate needed to have between 1.5 and 4 years of corporate litigation experience, needed to be practicing at a top AMLAW firm and needed to have graduated from an Ivy League Law School. The firm’s ideal candidate also needed to have personal ties to the firm’s general area and needed to be willing to relocate there.

Objectives

We needed to find an Associate with 1-4 years’ experience in Corporate Litigation who was currently working at an AMLAW100 firm. The candidate needed to have graduated with top marks from an Ivy League Law School and have personal ties to a small market location and a desire to relocate there.

Solution

We developed a search plan and identified a group of attorneys who met the profile. We then diligently engaged in hundreds of conversations to parse the identified, passive candidates for the right fit for the firm’s culture. We systematically reached out to every name of the list, and had conversations with each candidate about our client, their opportunity and how it could make a positive impact on the candidate’s career.

Outcome

We ultimately identified and presented two candidates who were hired by the firm and guided the candidates through the interview process. We assisted them with relocation questions and coordinated with multiple outside actors. The client was pleased and now, several years later, both attorneys are still at the firm.
